Here we go again.

Back on day shift. Back doing a bunch of overtime. This week I work 78 hours. We all do. I keep focusing on my end goals and trying to find time to be around the people I care about and of course, my dog.

This weekend I was off - I took my best friend to have hand surgery and we did pedicures the next day. Then on Sunday I went to visit my mother for mother's day. It was a wonderful visit in an otherwise melencholy day. She loved her gift, so my standing as a pro gift giver is intact!

I finally managed a few more color cube doodles. I have reached my first 50! The one attached to this post was a palette I was stuck on for quite some time. Work load on days is a lot more consistent so I don't get as much time to doodle, especially not with the overtime.

Despite all of the crazy - I have a few adventures lined up this summer. I really wanted to go see Kansas again and get the VIP tickets, but I cancelled my time off because it causes too much undue overtime and I don't really need to spend 300 dollars to see a concert. But I really really wanted to! I will save the money for my trip to Cleveland in July instead. I am hoping the art museum has Redon's on display. Last time I went they had 5! I left that place almost crying with happiness.

I might get bold enough to send an email to ask to see his works they have in storage. I know it's a long shot but you don't know if you don't ask and I am willing to humiliate myself to try for a chance to see even a portion of what they have in the collection.
