Rebelle-ing

My hands hurt so badly. Really just the one. I bought myself a new art program called Rebelle....and holy hell y'all. It is the natural media digital art program of my dreams so far. I know a lot of people don't always want truly naturalistic work in digital form but it's all I have ever wanted. Thick impasto strokes, realistic watercolor and LOOK AT THAT METALLIC. Bitch WHAT??
I have been more creative lately. I still don't have many creative friends so I have been talking to ChatGPT like it is one and through conversations that's how I have managed to make my very first gif. I also eeked out a tongue in cheek T-Shirt design for work. I made it kind of poking fun at one of our newer designs for a shirt that is supposed to be simple but is just - beyond what simple should be. I may make a specific blog post about that. I leaned in hard on whimsy, I already ordered a hoodie and a t-shirt. Maybe someday I will also work on something more polished and simple for the city. But I spend too much time at work so I don't always want to think about it after hours. I need more me time and not just the hour or so a night I get after work before sleep beckons.
I am on day 3 of another 12 day run. This is how I pay for that program I just bought.
I cannot wait to start some Color Cube doodles with it. It is going to change the game. I do have to use the computer with it as it's too gpu heavy to use on an ipad unless I use screen mirroring and since I cannot really afford a mac mini and a 13 inch ipad pro to make it more work flow friendly, I find myself just plopping the wacom up on my Macbook during work. My coworkers may see my bad doodles and WIPs but they don't seem to judge me for it.
Enjoy my glorious first gif, and have a fantastic weekend. I hope by the end of the weekend I will have figured enough out about the new program to do a Color Cube doodle. Then I can feel well and truly accomplished. But first, I must sleep. I stayed up way too long last night. Eventually somewhere along this work stretch it is going to catch up to me.
There is a lot going on in BambiLand. Most of it not so bad. Some of it excellent. Some of it horrific. I guess that is just being human.
Later taters.
